Computer Backup: Are You Willing to Roll the Dice?
RecoverySoft / October 27, 2018

It is estimated that about 90% of households have at least one computer in the home. Computer Industry Almanac reports that at the end of 2011, there were 310.6 Million computers in use in the US. Studies suggest that the average adult spends between 5 – 8 hours on the computer per day between work and home. I believe that it is safe to say that computers play a huge part in our lives. Computers are interwoven into just about every aspect of our lives. We use them to pay bills, preform business transactions, connect with our loved ones and the world. We use them to play games, check the weather, gamble, make travel arrangements and the list goes on. In the process of doing all those things, the computer has also become a place where we store important documents and pieces of information, as well as priceless memories, making computer backup essential. We want to keep our cherished memories and data for the long term. Computer backup is simply the storage of your computers files on a medium other than hard disk. The process is done in order to protect your valuable information in the event it becomes inaccessible…

Windows XP Blue Screen Of Death
RecoverySoft / October 27, 2018

Symptoms of the Blue Screen of Death are when your screen turns completely blue, and a white error message requests if you have installed any new hardware or software over the last few days. Sometimes, we can just turn off the computer, restart, then the error will go away. This happened to my Laptop. I had bumped it against the table and the blue screen appeared. Restarting the laptop in this case solved the problem. If the blue screen persists then, its necessary to fix it. The blue screen of death does not go away on its own. It appears randomly based on the CPU calling functions from the -Computer Registry -RAM Here are 2 solutions: Solution # 1 Scan your registry for errors. A Registry Cleaner scans your computer for errors in your PC's registry. Your computer's registry contains information about your Windows XP operating system, including driver, printer, software information. Over time, your computer's registry may start to contain obsolese data. A corrupt registry will easily slow down the speed of your computer because applications and drivers are loaded even though they're not in use. Fixing your registry of errors will not only prevent the Windows XP Blue…

How To Permanently Delete Files?
RecoverySoft / October 27, 2018

To permanently delete a file it is not enough to press delete or to empty the recycle bin. Operating systems like Windows or Mac OS delete the file by marking it invisible and by leaving the disk space it was using. In fact, it is impossible to delete the file, you can only overwrite it with some other data. This basic principle of computer file system is used to undelete files. If we have, for example, accidently deleted some file, we can recover it by using some undelete tool. If the data was not overwritten we can get the original file back as it was prior to deletion. For many computer users this behavior of files is not problematic. We do not care what happens with the files after they are deleted. But there are cases when we care or at least we should care. When we would like to dump the old computer or donate it to someone we do not want to leave all the files on the disk. Deleting them or even formatting the disk does not solve the problem. With simple recovery tools it is possible to recover formatted partitions and deleted files. This is a…

The Establishment of a Structure
RecoverySoft / October 20, 2018

My examination of those old notes, revealed some information about the Recovery Center that I had mentioned in an earlier article. According to my notes, here is what the original plans were for the present Recovery Center It was going to be called an Urgent Care Center. It was meant to reduce the caseload of mental patients being seen in the emergency room at Brotman Hospital. Now it so happens that there is a commercial enterprise in Culver City, a for profit institution with the name "Urgent Care Center." That Center happens to be located just six to seven blocks from the site of the new Recovery Center. Obviously, the groups sponsoring the Recovery Center did not want to compete with a nearby Urgent Care Center. That explains the changes made to the Center's name. This name conflict was only one of the obstacles encountered by those who thought to establish the Recovery Center. As I mentioned earlier, a number of local residents said "not in my backyard," when asked to approve establishment of the Recovery Center. The more vocal members of our interfaith group assisted to promote City leaders that the City would benefit from establishment of a Care…
