16 Most Inspiring Famous Failures
RecoverySoft / August 21, 2018

To succeed in business or life, I came to realize that we must continually take remedial actions. Putting myself on the line day after day can be extremely draining, especially when things do not work out as I desired. Hence, each time I face a disappointing event or undesirable outcome, I NEVER FORGET these famous failures: 1. Bill Gates, founder and chairman of Microsoft, has literally changed the work culture of the world in the 21st century, by simplifying the way computer is being used. He happens to be the world’s richest man for the last one decade. However, in the 70’s before starting out, he was a Harvard University dropout. The most ironic part is that, he started a software company (that was soon to become Microsoft) by purchasing the software technology from “someone” for only $US50 back then. 2. Abraham Lincoln, received no more than 5 years of formal education throughout his lifetime. When he grew up, he joined politics and had 12 major failures before he was elected the 16th President of the United States of America. 3. Isaac Newton was the greatest English mathematician of his generation. His work on optics and gravitation made him one…

The Difference Between AutoCAD and SolidWorks
RecoverySoft / August 13, 2018

SolidWorks is what we call a “parametric” solid modeller used for 3-D design. Parametric means that the dimensions can have relationships between one another and can be changed at any point during the design process to automatically alter the solid part and any related documentation (blueprint). AutoCAD, however, is primarily a 2-D design tool with some, but limited 3-D capabilities. It is very simple compared to any parametric solid modeller (although 3D is improved in AutoCAD 2007). Autodesk (the manufacturer of AutoCAD) makes a product that is nearly identical to SolidWorks, called Inventor, which is a parametric program for design of solid parts and assemblies. SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical CAD (computer-aided design) program that runs on Microsoft Windows. SolidWorks files use the Microsoft Structured storage file format. This means that there is various files embedded within each SLDDRW (drawing files), SLDPRT (part files), SLDASM (assembly files), with preview bitmaps and metadata sub-files. Various third-party tools can be used to extract these sub-files, although the sub-files in many cases use proprietary binary file formats. SolidWorks is a parasolid-based solid modeller, and utilizes a parametric feature-based approach to create models and assemblies. Parameters refer to restrictions which values determine the shape…

RAID Data Recovery – How It Works
RecoverySoft / June 9, 2018

RAID data recovery is probably one of the most complex processes any data recovery firm can perform. More often than not, the problems are compounded by the actions of the client prior to sending the drives in for recovery. Many users feel that it is important to try and recover the data themselves or repair the array through various system utilities, and this may be fine if the data is not critical. However, it has been our experience that when you have a RAID failure that has resulted in substantial data loss, more often than not, somebody’s job is on the line if that data is not recovered. The biggest piece of advise this article can provide in the event of a RAID failure: LEAVE IT ALONE. IT professionals have a lot of pressure placed on them when a catastrophic system failure occurs. It is their job to make sure that all systems are up and running. Many times, out of panic, troubleshooting processes are initiated in order to correct the problem. Often times these processes only make a bad situation even worse, and in many instances they can render the data unrecoverable. Let’s keep in mind what this data…

Economic Recovery is Our Responsibility
RecoverySoft / June 2, 2018

Today you can spark an economic revolution. Are you up for the challenge? It has been said that environment is a direct reflection of the people in it. If you want to change the environment, just change the people. Shouldn’t this apply to our economic situation as well? So how do we change the local economy? By changing the way the people interact and do business. When each of us becomes more focused on helping our friends, neighbors, and local businesses, everyone will experience an economic revival and it starts by referring friends and acquaintances to people we know. And best of all, it’s not a new skill to learn. You’ve already referred people to others before. You’ve referred a movie or restaurant to a co-worker, a book to a friend, or simply given directions to a stranger in your town. Everyone is networking all the time, whether for business, charity or friendship, networking is a part of all our lives. Businesses large and small rely on networking to launch new products, find new customers, and fill open staff positions. Networking is the most cost-effective means to solve problems in your business. It has long been known that a referred…
