How To Permanently Delete Files?
RecoverySoft / November 1, 2018

To permanently delete a file it is not enough to press delete or to empty the recycle bin. Operating systems like Windows or Mac OS delete the file by marking it invisible and by releasing the disk space it was using. In fact, it is impossible to delete the file, you can only overwrite it with some other data. This basic principle of computer file system is used to undelete files. If we have, for example, accidentally deleted some file, we can recover it by using some undelete tool. If the data was not overwritten we can get the original file back as it was prior to deletion. For many computer users this behavior of files is not problematic. We don’t care what happens with the files after they are deleted. But there are cases when we care or at least we should care. When we would like to dump the old computer or donate it to somebody we don’t want to leave all the files on the disk. Deleting them or even formatting the disk does not solve the problem. With simple recovery tools it is possible to recover formatted partitions and deleted files. This is a problem because…

Guide to Convert OST Files Into PST Files
RecoverySoft / October 25, 2018

While working with a mailbox on Exchange server does make it very convenient to switch between the offline and online modes, there are times when the account from the server gets removed by mistake or by the administrator as a security precaution. This article will illustrate how converting OST files into PST files might be the only way of retrieving data. Very often at corporate workplaces, employees are given an email account on a Microsoft Exchange server. This no doubt facilitates communication and collaboration at the workplace but also allows the user to work on emails by making an offline copy in Offline Storage files or OST files. At times, administrators take the extreme step of removing the account when they consider a security threat. Also, when employees are leaving the current place of employment, they may want to take the mail messages, contact lists and calendar with them when they move. They are under the impression that by taking a copy of the OST files with them they have all the information they need and end up deleting the account associated with these files. This ends up orphaning the OST files that can only be opened using the Exchange…

Using Oil Instead of Talc for Waxing
RecoverySoft / October 20, 2018

Traditionally when waxing is taught students are advised to apply a layer of talcum powder to the area being waxed. This achieves several things, it keeps the area dry, it makes the treatment a little more comfortable as the wax will stick to the hairs rather then the skin. The use of an oil may seem a little unusual as we are taught to use a pre-wax cleanser to remove dirt and oils from the skin before waxing. But once therapists have tried waxing with oil they rarely return to powder. The oil works by providing a lipid barrier between the skin and the wax – in essence a very thin oil barrier. Since the wax doesn’t adhere to the skin its removal is easier and less painful for the client. When using oil for intimate waxing where the skin is very thin and fragile this helps reduce the risk of abrasions or skin lifting. It is important to choose an appropriate oil, ideally a very light oil. If the oil is too thick or heavy you will find the wax won’t adhere. I personally find that Perron Rigot Jasmin Oil is one of the best products around for this….
