HoverBoards Take The World By Storm
RecoverySoft / October 1, 2018

The History of HoverBoards First appearing on our screens in the 1980s, the hoverboard has been the dream of kids everywhere. It’s magical ability to seamlessly take you from one place to another, completely unhindered by the surface over which you travel. Seeing Marty McFly hover over a pond on a childs converted scooter sparked something in everyone, people started to consider it as possible. It’s only right that in 2015 we have come a step closer, as it is the year in the future Marty and the Professor visit. In 2015 (for real), hoverboards do actually exist! Don’t get too excited, however… There does need to be a fair amount of things in place for it to ‘hover’, as such. Lexus famously made a hoverboard for their advert, as part of an ad series to do with technology. Their board needed a metal track to run above and a good serving of liquid nitrogen every now and then, it’s not quite as practical as Marty’s just yet. The other hoverboard being worked on (which actually hovers above the ground, anyway) is a bit better, needing only a metal skatepark to run above. Unfortunately, there is no way to control…

Corrupted DBF Files – How To Prevent And Repair Dbase Corruption
RecoverySoft / September 16, 2018

.DBF (DataBase File) files are some of the most commonly used files across multiple applications. First introduced as part of the archaic Dbase language, which later went through multiple versions before finally becoming xBase, the dbf extension has become somewhat of a standard for most programs that compile and structure data into specific ‘quantas’. Some of the commonly used programs that generate dbf files as the means to store data are FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, dBase (and it’s various versions), many popular games, and interactive programs such as Dragon Naturally Speak. While most programs that use .DBF files never require the user to directly interact with the file itself, some of them, especially those targeted at developers, need constant interaction with the database file. As such, losing data stored in a .DBF file can have severe consequences leading to loss of productivity, and many times hours of work. Corruption of DBF files is not very common. However, given the number of times a give file needs to be loaded and unloaded in a developmental environment. Since most errors occur during the process of saving and loading, there are a few steps you can take to prevent such damage. There are basically…

What Is the Recovery Time for Liposuction?
RecoverySoft / June 19, 2018

Liposuction is a surgical procedure done through tiny incisions to permanently remove any external fat that you may have in problem areas. Typically, the feeling you will have right after liposuction is a sensation of post-workout pain, or the muscle soreness and pain you may feel after extreme exercise. The areas of liposuction will feel sore and numb for several days after your procedure. After a few days, you will probably feel itching, burning, electrical shocks, and similar feelings in the areas of liposuction. This is good, because it means that the nerves supplying your skin are beginning to have less swelling and are starting to heal. After several weeks, you should have normal feelings in your skin in all areas of liposuction. Sometimes you may develop hardened soft tissue areas where you had liposuction. This may occur because you are wearing your post-surgery compression garment incorrectly, or your body may be trying to develop scar tissue in the areas of surgery. Often wearing your garment in a different fashion, or starting to massage that areas that are beginning to get harder, or both, will alleviate any asymmetry and scar tissue that is trying to form. Patients can usually get…

RAID Data Recovery – How It Works
RecoverySoft / June 14, 2018

RAID data recovery is probably one of the most complex processes any data recovery firm can perform. More often than not, the problems are compounded by the actions of the client prior to sending the drives in for recovery. Many users feel that it is important to try and recover the data themselves or repair the array through various system utilities, and this may be fine if the data is not critical. However, it has been our experience that when you have a RAID failure that has resulted in substantial data loss, more often than not, somebody’s job is on the line if that data is not recovered. The biggest piece of advise this article can provide in the event of a RAID failure: LEAVE IT ALONE. IT professionals have a lot of pressure placed on them when a catastrophic system failure occurs. It is their job to make sure that all systems are up and running. Many times, out of panic, troubleshooting processes are initiated in order to correct the problem. Often times these processes only make a bad situation even worse, and in many instances they can render the data unrecoverable. Let’s keep in mind what this data…
