I have accidently formatted & partitioned my Seagate external hard drive while making a Windows 10 USB boot drive. My hard drive is 2 terabytes and all data lost. My AVCHD video & RAW Photo files are the ones I want recovered. Is this recovery software suitable for recovering AVCHD VIDEO FILES? Or is the "Kroll Ontrack EasyRecovery software" better?

    First. Awesome video m8.

But I have a problem. After a while my external hard drive swiches into "sleep mode" and the recovery process stopps. I tried to fiddle around with the energy save settings but noting works. Is there a way to disable the "sleep mode" ? Couldnt find a solution to this on google.

This does not work at all. It says it sees the files but then when it restores the files it claims that it does not support the file. How is that worth $55

So I got a 2TB external HDD second hand or possibly third, it got formatted and i want to recover only the 6 months of my files and not the entire life span of the hdd. Is there a software that will let me recover files from a set date up until a second set date?
