Like the other people here I was scammed into installing the program (onto the original recovery disk, no access to another disk). The files I was looking for weren't hugely important, but in the meantime I have to delete their annoying "program" — don't try to mince words, saying you're offering a free file recovery program is different from saying you're offering a preview of what you might be able to recover if you feel like handing over $89. And installing a new program onto the recovery disk ups the odds of overwriting the file I'm idly trying to recover. If the file you're trying to recover IS important, take note.

    Dear Users,
Disk Drill Basic version is free. It gives you all the functions of data protection and scanning, so that you can see which files can be found and preview them to verify that they are recoverable. But, you need to upgrade your license to actually recover any files found, except when using Recovery Vault and Guaranteed Protection. • Jordan M. Carver July 5, 2018 at 12:24 am

It's a scam. Diskdrillvideo really doesn't understand what the word "free" means. Their "free" version does not allow you to recover your files in any way. The only way to recover your files is with the $80 NON-free version.

Let me help you guys out:

Free (adv) – "without cost or payment."

See, now we have all learned something today.

  • Ranvir Kumar July 5, 2018 at 12:24 am

The free version just scans but does not recover. Same is the case with Stellar phoenix Mac data recovery software also.
To get your data recovered, you will have to pay an amount of $89.00. The best part of these applications is they are safe and very easy to use.
